I’m not quite sure where to start with this review. The short version is as follows. My wife and I paid Allied over $7,000 to move us from New Jersey to Indiana. We were told that the movers would wait to deliver our items to the destination until we arrived a few days later. DO NOT use this company. They will "lose" your items and not do anything about it. It wasn't just a box or two. It was five pieces of large furniture. I haven't heard back from the claims department yet but I'm guessing they won't give me much of anything back. Worst company ever. Please don't use them!

Moving household from Wisconsin to Illinois. All set for moving date. Deposit paid. Packing date, 8/1/16. No show. Called and asked why--we don't have any trucks (isn't a truck a key part of the moving business?). 8/2/16--No show. We don't have a truck or anyone to pack goods. 8/3/16--No show. We are over-booked and sub-contracting with another mover. House is sold as of 8/5/16 and we have to be out. Hopefully new sub-contractor own a truck... Read more

I understand that things happen during a move, but they completely destroyed my king sized sleigh bed and an electric fireplace. They broke two picture frames, and left sever gouges in my queen sized sleigh bed and my dresser. Oh, and some china is missing. Their offer? upon using this company i had several items stolen by the movers and the company refused to help the items totaled about $2000.00 will never use them again. i was offered a $500.00 good faith gesture by the company itself because their insurance wouldnt pay. witch was the amount i payed for the insurance...listed stolen was a 40 in tv, 2 iphones, a knife my son got me ,2 game stations and other small items like hook up cords a clock. a couple... Allied Van Lines calls me at LEAST 3 times a day at various hours of the day and night. Sunday's even. This has been going on for 3 weeks now. I went online to an estimated move calculator that was not affiliated with any movers. I ended up with at least 5 movers contacting me via email. All of them, except Allied, stopped contacting me. We recently moved from Florida to Arizona. Allied moved and stored our belongings for 4 months. We just received our move and I have never seen anything like this. So much damage - I have several pieces of furniture that are ruined from breakage, water damage and mold. TV is broken, furniture is gashed and several pieces have actual green mold on them. After a lifetime of corporate transfers and moves..all no problem,..now..retired. Used Allied for our final move. Horrific!! Have never had such a moving nightmare. Hundreds of items missing ( entire rooms of belongings) and they say they can not locate. Incredible amount of damage as well. Allied just wants to send us a paltry check.... Do NoT use Allied. On 12 Sep at approximately 08:50 one of your semi trailer moving vans was proceeding north on Main Street, Bel Air, MD, with the driver operating a held held smart phone. This sends an incredibly bad message and I am sure not what you would expect from should be ambassadors of your company.
